Hermes Press’ new ‘The Phantom Sundays Archive: Full Size Half Pages 1939-1942’ is here. This beautifully produced hardcover book collects the first 4 years of the colour Lee Falk/Ray Moore Sunday stories and faithfully reproduces them at their original size, i.e. broadsheet, not tabloid! This book will have the same look and feel of the original newspaper strips, only in a high quality art book format. You can see it here.
A signed, limited edition has also been announced and is to be released in July. It will be enclosed in an acid-free mylar case and contain a specially-commissioned plate drawn by Sal Velluto. Limited to 75 copies only, it will be available at the San Diego Comic Con and through the Phantom’s Vault exclusively and not distributed by Diamond Distributors or sold through any other online store or retail outlet.
